This policy explains what data PottyNest ("the app") uses, why, where it is stored, who receives it, and how you can delete it. The app has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or phone number.

1. Data the app uses and why

The app does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or health data.

2. Family sharing and our sync server

Family sharing is optional. When you create or join a family, the logs and dog profiles of that family, the family nicknames and random device IDs are sent over an encrypted connection to our sync server (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) so that family members' devices stay in sync.
Only devices that joined with the family code can read or change the family's data. Invite codes expire after 7 days.
For abuse prevention, the server keeps request counts per device and a one-way hash of the connecting network address for a short time. We do not use this to identify you.
We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except our hosting provider, which processes it on our behalf.
If you stop sharing, your device keeps its logs. You can delete the family's data from the server at any time in the app (Family > Delete family data on the server); this ends sharing for every member.

3. Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob and its mediation partners (AppLovin, Digital Turbine/DT Exchange, InMobi, ironSource/Unity LevelPlay, Liftoff/Vungle, LINE, Meta Audience Network, Mintegral, Pangle, PubMatic, Unity Ads). These ad providers may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads. They do not receive your dog's logs or family data. On iOS, personalized ads are used only if you allow tracking. Users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first and can change it under Settings > Ad privacy settings. See How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. To confirm a purchase, the purchase receipt (not your logs) is sent to our verification service.

5. How to delete your PottyNest data

Delete family data on our server (instant, no request needed): open PottyNest > Family > Delete family data on the server. This removes the family's shared logs, dog profiles, nicknames and device IDs from the sync server immediately and ends sharing for every member.

Delete data on your device: delete entries or dogs in the app, or uninstall the app.

Request deletion by email: if you can no longer open the app, email a09114742@gmail.com with the subject "PottyNest data deletion" and your family code. We delete the family's server data within 30 days. Abuse-prevention counters (request counts and hashed network addresses) are kept for at most 30 days and then deleted.

Retention

Logs on your device stay until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Family data on the sync server stays while the family exists. Deleting the family data in the app removes it from the server.

6. Children

The app is intended for dog owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Not veterinary advice

Estimates and trends are averages of your own logs and are not a diagnosis. If you notice diarrhea, blood in the stool or a sudden change, consult a veterinarian.
